In Budget 2020 it was announced that the maximum amount payable under the Drugs Payment Scheme would be reduced by €10 a month to €114. This reduction was due to come into effect on 1 September 2020. It is understood from pharmacists and from the DPS section of the HSE that, due to the pressures of dealing with Covid-19, the implementation of the change may be delayed.
