The following welcome news was received today from the National Shared Services Office (NSSO) – The NSSO is happy to inform you that we are now in a position to restore the call service for retired customers from Monday 6 July 2020. The phone line 076 1002702 will be open from 9.00am to 1.00pm each day Monday to Friday.

The full notice is given below.  A big thank you to the NSSO for continuing to serve us and pay our pensions during this very difficult time.

NSSO Notice:

As you are aware the National Shared Services Office, (NSSO) was obliged, due to workplace restrictions under the Covid-19 emergency, to move to an email service only on our Helpdesks from 27 March last.

The operation of the email service has been very successful with over 32,700 emails from our customers being processed since the end of March. The NSSO continued to monitor the situation and in particular was very mindful of the service available to our retired customers. We are very aware of the preference of some pensioners to contact us by phone and in that regard the NSSO has, during the emergency period, provided a call back service in instances where a pensioner or someone on their behalf has requested to speak to one of the Helpdesk team.

In addition to the email and call back service being provided, the NSSO has also been examining options that would allow us to continue to support the health and welfare of our staff under the Covid-19 workplace requirements and extend the service to include a full call service for the pensioner groups.

The NSSO is happy to inform you that we are now in a position to restore the call service for retired customers from Monday 6 July 2020. The phone line 076 1002702 will be open from 9.00am to 1.00pm each day Monday to Friday.

The NSSO will continue to monitor the service over the coming weeks and will be in contact with you on any further updates. All updates are also carried on our websites at pssc.gov.ie and nsso.gov.ie and the NSSO twitter account @SSCIRL.
