The Association was founded in 1945. Our founder members served  in both the British and Irish jurisdictions serving the public and the State through Independence, the Civil War,  The Emergency and through the Social and Economic changes which brought about the modern State.
The buildings are representative of some of the Public Sector buildings in which our members have served and represent not only the changing social and economic conditions  through which they served but the contribution of Public Sector Architecture to the  Irish Streetscape.
